IN MITTEN

"In mitten" is the title of the personal exhibition of the well-known and internationally renowned German artist Carin Grudda at the La Mongolfiera di Sanremo art gallery.

The artist, through his oils on the table, his burned woods, his spikes and his bronze sculptures takes us by the hand and leads us "in mitten", that is at the center of his world and his poetics. Once created, his characters come to life and present themselves to us as traveling companions, full of elegance, beauty and magic. As Carin Grudda herself reminds us, bronze, the eternal material with which she creates her sculptures, has always been used by humanity to portray emperors, kings, princes and becomes magical if we start to play together.

This is the spirit with which we must read and look at the works of Carin, with the lightness and pure soul of a child; after all "the essential is invisible to the eye, we can not see well with the heart" (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry).

Grudda boasts important and numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad and in 2011 the artist's selection for the LIV Biennale di Venezia enshrines her artistic research, giving it a prestigious recognition.

The inauguration, to which the artist will be present, will be held on Sunday 4 February at 6 pm, at the La Mongolfiera Art Gallery in Sanremo.

The exhibition, curated by Gioia Quicquaro, art historian and Erika Brunelli, artistic assistant of Carin Grudda, will be open until February 24, 2018, every day from 9.30 to 12.30 and from 15.30 to 19.30, except Monday mornings and holidays.
