Icelandic artist, Kristjana S Williams studies graphics and illustration at Central St Martins. After a very short time, she received critical acclaim as the creative director of Beyond the Valley for eight years in a row. In 2011 she began to create works of art, illustrating books, designing interior objects and more.
Her designs are inspired by nature and his technique involves the digital and physical layering of nature on nature to reflect symmetry in all living things. Each piece is its magical universe of exotic plants and animals.
Kristjana's work has become famous throughout the industry by winning numerous awards including a D&AD award, a Clio Award and a first prize at the New York Festivals Grand Prix. His works can be found in the Victoria & Albert Museum and in various galleries.
She recently designed the album covers for the new Coldplays live album "A Head Full of Dreams: Live in Buenos Aires and Live in Sao Paulo".

2011 | London - Interactive Print Journey - V&A British galleries The public were invited to try their hand at design by interacting with a range of richly patterned prints designed by Kristjana S Williams by using an iPad and an app called Granimator. Users were able to add detail in the form of creatures, floral motifs and gold leafing to a base design before uploading their final creations to share with friends via social media websites. |
