The Fulvio Bernardini's solo exhibition, entitled "Il Rivisitismo di Fulber, i sentieri di Roy" was born in collaboration with Mariapia Ciaghi, director of the publishing house Il Sextante.
The occasion is to celebrate the anniversary of the death of Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997), one of the protagonists of Pop Art, twenty years after his death, and concentrate on Fulber, artist in Trento, famous illustrator and cartoonist who has publications in the famous American comics "MAD", creator of characters like Gary and Spike, and highlights his artistic research in recent years, that critics of art called "Rivisitismo."
The exhibition, in the introducing of many works by great artists revisited by the artist of Trento, is also an opportunity to highlight affinities and approaches the implementation agreements between Roy Lichtenstein and Fulvio Bernardini; where the American artist uses comic strips for purely formal reasons, Fulber uses an ironic and provocative way by inserting the cartoon characters he invented, as he himself defined, an "abstract" operation.
The inauguration will take place on September 2 at 6 pm at the Galleria d'Arte La Mongolfiera di Sanremo. The artist, who will be presented by the renowned art critic Maurizio Scudiero, scholar and specialist in modern and contemporary art, especially artists like Fortunato Depero and Roberto Marcello Baldessari, and their respective general archives, curator of national and international exhibitions and author of over two hundred books, catalogs of exhibitions and criticisms of applied arts and graphics.
The exhibition will remain open until September 9 from 9:30 to 12:30 and 16:00 to 20:00 except on Monday and holidays.
