Master Craftswoman and heir of the glorious ceramic tradition of Savona, Nadia Allario works in the small seaside village of Noli in the province of Savona.
When she was young, she has always been fascinated by ceramics, to the point to decide ceramist. She enrolled in the Arturo Martini artistic High School and started to learn painting and sculpture. Then, she works with some master ceramist of Savona and refines her skills ability to work the ceramic. She focused her attention to the Raku art, to the paper clay, to the high-temperature cooking and to the porcelain.
Starting to the subject of the apple that reinterprets sliced in a half with seeds exposed, like as mother’s womb symbol of life, she reinterprets the concept of still life. Subsequently, after the meeting with the master from Faenza Giovanni Cimatti, she experiments the technique of paper clay on new materials and plants, arriving to revisit the Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s themes.
Each element becomes in this way a sublimated object, tactile, with its own aura that acquires meanings and symbolisms.
